Design of mobile applications for sport and leisure

With 20 years experience in the development of industrial applications, LogAlp embarks on the adventure of mobile applications. We use our knowledge of physical phenomena to develop advanced applications in the field of sport. Smartphones, today, take on board high-tech components (accelerometers, GPS, gyroscope,...) that make possible the development of very powerful applications.

Sailing is one of the first areas we explore. We are accustomed now to get on sailing boats a lot of information from numerous electronic instruments (speed, wind, depth,...).But we generally lack information, which is often harshly discussed at return from sailing : the waves height. Without specific instrumentation, just using an iPhone or an iPod, the application WaveHeight gives you real time information, and stores data that reflect the changes in sea conditions you encountered.
